Oren S. Leiman

Years ago, Oren said goodbye to life as a corporate geek and IT (information technology) Director to  pursue his calling as a carpenter, then a licensed building contractor. 

Oren holds a BS from Rochester Institute of Technology and is trained in printing, computer science and imaging technologies — with two patents for electronic printing control systems. (This has actually come in handy for some construction projects!) 

"Over the years, my one-man handyman and carpentry shop grew into a licensed building contractor business, with a team of amazing builders and fixers,  some learned the trades locally, others in far away lands. My roots have been growing for nearly 3 decades in Berkeley.  At the core of my work is creating 'meaningful work' and long-term, enjoyable relationships with clients and tradepeople."

We enjoy helping residential and  commercial clients with both smaller and large complex projects. From updating  old  buildings to ground-up construction, to re-purposing structures for new uses.

Projects range from all kinds of installations and upgrades, "fix-its" and reconfiguring ... structural and finish carpentry, plumbing, electric, and construction management with a variety of trusted specialty sub-contractors.

Projects include new doors, new entrances, hardscape, decks, custom gates, window seats, hidden rooms (safe rooms and man caves), and other "I've always wanted that..." upgrades.  We enjoy solving challenges. Our portfolio and testimonials have a few examples.

Clients appreciate our punctuality, communication and problem solving skills layered on our building experience, attention to detail and willingness to clean-up.

We apply our analytical skills to your building / design and maintenance goals.  We have 5 full-time carpenters and a handyman on our team.  An office manager that keeps our schedule and ordering on track. Additionally,  painters and finishers, and labor to get "it" done.
